„Women Career Breakfast"
Liebe Studentinnen, ihr steht mitten in eurem Mathematik- oder Informatik-Masterstudium - der Abschluss ist nicht mehr weit. Und dann? Wie kann es weiter gehen? Eine Promotion ist sicher eine Möglichkeit sich wissenschaftlich in einem Themengebiet zu vertiefen und auch Stellen in der Wirtschaft bieten viele spannende Herausforderungen. Aufbauend auf dem „WoCa-Lunch“ wollen wir Euch zum „Women Career Breakfast“ einladen. Hier dreht sich alles um Eure persönliche Karriereplanung: Wo stehe ich gerade? Was ist mir wichtig? Wie will ich weiter machen?Dazu treffen wir uns ab dem 10. Mai immer mittwochs zu einem gemeinsamen Frühstück. Essen und Getränke besorgen wir – Christina Büsing und Kaja Köhnle. Es werden insgesamt sieben Treffen bis zum 05. Juli stattfinden. Am 17. Mai und am 31. Mai ist eine Pause. Der „WoCa-Breakfast“ findet im Seminarraum 5055 des Informatikzentrums statt.

Brigitte-Gilles-Award for the „Woman Career Lunch“
We are happy to announce that the „Woman Career Lunch“, jointly organised by our very own Prof. Christina Büsing together with Prof. Erika Ábrahám (Theory of Hybrid Systems), Prof. Helen Bolke-Hermanns (Software Modeling and Verification) and Kaja Köhnle (Equal Opportunities Office), recieved the unversity's annual "Brigitte-Gilles-Award". The award is named after the unversity's women's affairs officer, Professor Brigitte Gilles. It is meant to reward innovative projects and measures that make a significant contribution to the advancement of women. More information on the award can be found on the RWTH University's Webpage.
The „Woman Career Lunch“ is a program that aims to inform female students in their masters on carreer paths and opportunities in science. Currently, the lunch consists of eight modules, which are offered each fall term, including both internal and external speakers.
